Biography

A loose collection of bones, the hollow etchings of what was once a dragon are seen throughout Sornieth. Flying high with a horrifying echo, the undead Banescale haunts Sornieth with no rhyme or reason.

If you were to ask Howl who they were before dying, they'd shrug. Though their bones are distinctly banescale, the entity seems to have no recollection of anything before they became the misty, skeletal form best known today. There are many theories on what might have happened; memory loss through death, a possessed corpse, or maybe even that dark mist that permeates their body is something shade-wrought that ate the body away.
The truth is much more simple than it all. Howl's not a dragon at all.
Originally a misty spirit, they wore a Banescale's skeleton like decoration, contorting their misty form to fit into the dragon's shape. It wasn't really that much, they think; they just thought the wind-bleached bones looked cool.
And now they have to deal with everyone heralding them as an undead cryptid.
That's okay, though; Howl's fine to emit their shrieking winds and spook the dragons of Sornieth, anyways!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • Shriek is a Shatterbone Vulture that just started following them around. They like it, in the same way as they liked the old banescale bones.
  • Howl is a mischievous wisp and nothing more. All the rumors that surround them are just conjecture; not that they ever try to clarify!
