She remembers when the world was young. Sometimes her memories are vivid, lifelike, and other times they are like something out of a dream. But always they are there. She remembers a time the shadows were so weak, so afraid, they spoke in whispers. In fear, she once thought, but now perhaps she believes it was patience. She remembers the ages past, the way that the earth cracked and crumbled and reshaped itself again, into deep cut canyons and mountains like claws and caves that ran into the heart of the world. And at long last that was hers again, to touch and to know in this new age, this new place in time. Once again, she stretched her wings for the first time. She blinked the newness from her eyes and raised her head to look at the faces of her mother and father, as she had in every life before. She found instead that there was no one. She peered around the chamber of the cavern, and then she scrambled onto the floor, her talons and scales clinking against hard brown stone. And she found that she was completely alone. Eithrina has had many names and many faces before this one. Her story has always started in Dragonhome— one of the few constants through her lives is that she has always been a child of the Earthshaker. She hatched in the shadow of the Pillar of the World, absent any signs of family or clan to indicate where she had come from or why she was alone. (This bio is unfinished) |
