For as long as Sacha can remember, she's felt a tie to two different powers. One was the Voidsoul within her, struggling to incite her to destroy but granting her power, an energy she could connect to. And the other, the Graveyard, was around her, yet it could not fully reach her. She felt the flowers that refuse to grow and bloom nestled deep in her fur, she was more than a Rooted, less than a true Flower, stuck between in a way that felt more wrong than the darkness inside whispering violence to her, although perhaps it was the Voidsoul that broke her connection to the Graveyard in the first place.

Able to speak telepathically but unable to speak the language of dragons (unlike typical Rooted), and feeling far older than her mortal body's age, she preferred to spend her childhood learning, meditating, and later training, so she can control her Voidsoul. It was when she reached adulthood that she decided to look for ways to reconnect with the Graveyard, finding a potential method to "fix" herself-an ancient scroll of transformation, one that's costly to prepare for and difficult to create.

While awaiting her transformation, she used her powers as a Dark Stalker to gather ingredients, much like how the founders of that lineage do mercenary work to take elixirs to quell the worst of the violent urges caused by the Voidsoul, elixirs she's never needed much. And when the time was right, she finally got the chance to achieve her dream, the sharp spikes on her body falling away.

And finally, her flowers bloomed, and she heard the Graveyard.

Dark Stalkers with these eyes have an average level of power within them. They can still combat the Shade with greater efficacy with minimal risk to themselves.
Mourning Flowers:
Runic - deep thinkers, intelligent, impatient. Those with the Runic trait tend to be deeply connected to the Fates themselves and the old gods. They seek out knowledge on the regular and have deep connections to the ways of the old. More common in Carnations descendants.
