Uh-oh, looks like this entomologist wandered a little too far from his home lair (KingVulture, 437722), and now he's off to see the world! If you ever feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, to the “Dragons Off To See The World” thread, here, or to the hub if you don't want another dragon in return. Please refrain from exalting him! Important note: Please only trade this dragon on traveling dragon threads, as opposed to places such as the Auction House. Schmetterling would like to receive a permanent home someday, so if you'd like to adopt him after he's been travelling long enough, just let his owner know! |

Being named for the German word for "butterfly", it's no surprise that Schmetterling has had an interest in all things buggy. He's an amateur entomologist - inspired by his sister Metelyk's interest - and wants to travel Sornieth in search of what kinds of bugs he can learn about.
~ What better way to learn about bugs than to study dragons that look like bugs! They have to know a thing or two that can help develop further research. His first travel led him to Andermorax. A diverse town with all sorts of dragons! Oertzeni was the perfect candidate to research since he looked exactly like a big ol beetle. With notepad in hand, Schmetterling asked questions for hours until Oertzeni had to buzz away. With new data, it was time to fly off and find another candidate! ~ Well he certainly thought that pitstopping in the Gladekeeper's realm would give him the best chance at learning about all sorts of bugs...and he did... in a way. The Wylde Weyr was a strange place, the air so thick with some sort of magic he almost thought it was Arcanist territory... until he saw a few dragonkind dancing around a mushroom ring and a rather weird-looking flower growing from the center of it. He didn't have time to ask because moments later, a group of ethereal butterflies caught Schmetterling's attention and he was off following them and the veilspun they were tailing. Once he found them, though... well there was nothing, not even the gold and blue veilspun. This place is weird and gives him the heebies... perhaps it's time to move on. ~ Write Here ~ Write Here |
