Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this adventurer a little too far from her home lair (Miere#565963), and now she's off to see the world! If you ever feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the 'Dragons Off to See the World' thread. If you don't want another traveler in return, you can also drop her off at the Traveling Dragon Rest Hub!

But Thoros is also looking for a forever home! If you'd like her and think she's travelled far enough, feel free to keep her as long as you notify her original home, Miere!
Though Thoros had been born in the lands of the Plaguebringer, she knew her place wasn't among the clan her parents called home. After spending more and more time looking longingly towards distant lands, she realized her calling wasn't healing wounds through endurance and mutation, but to go out and explore the many wonders Sornieth held.

Without much to her name, she flew off away from home, leaving behind her clan in search of all the natural wonders the world had to offer.

A trader let me tag along with them to a village with the Gladeveins. While it's a lovely little place, I made the mistake of making friends with some... less-than-savory characters. I'd better get out while I can, I'll write more once I've settled somewhere else!

I was lucky to come upon the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, it was lovely! Everyone was very kind, and I got to experience some really interesting things. I liked the performances put on by the dance troupe well enough, but I really liked trying my claw at different crafts in the artists' commune. I'm not sure any of my creations were particularly good, but it's the process that's valuable!

I learned a lot, but there's more to see! My hosts have graciously packed me a basket of traveling snacks and wished me well.

I then visited the Tangled Woods, where I entered the Foxfire Bramble. What a mistake! I got lost really quickly... but then a fog rolled in and I found myself underground! An Obelisk greeted me and introduced me to the Kingdom. I wandered around the place for a while, meeting a lot of new people and trying my hand at gardening, alchemy, and even a little bit of seer work! But nothing felt special to me... so I began to pack a few days later. But when I was just about to leave, this really pretty Veilspun entered the Kingdom!

She introduced herself as Astrea, and was wandering the world to learn mainly about the Arcane flight, but was taking the chance to learn about other flights as well. Happily, I showed her around the Kingdom, and we both learned new things about this strange place and about each other. When Astrea had seen all she wanted to, I asked if I could come along. She delightfully said yes, and so we were off together!

Unfortunately I lost my new friend pretty fast. I found my way back to the Viridian Labyrinth, trying to avoid the unsavory folks from my last visit. This led me all the way to the Worldedge Wetlands, where a Clan that just escaped the harshness of the Sunbeam Ruins decided to settle in and grow something called kalo? Anyhoo, the matriarch and patriarch had both new kids and new grandkids around the same time. I ended up babysitting a lot of the time because the hatchlings were too young to work. I sensed a kindred spirit in one of them. She was a little Tundra who couldn't keep a plant alive to save her own life. A Nature-born baby, mind you! Once she was old enough to travel, I received her parents' and grandparents' blessing to take her with me.

I decided to escape the summer heat by traveling to the far south, figuring this would be as good a time as any to see the frozen region the ice flight calls home. My new friend decided to stay aboard our ship for a while, but I disembarked upon arriving to the port city of Brightwinter. I found surprisingly cozy accommodations at the Newhearth Lodge. It was a bustling place, and I found the night life at the tavern almost too entertaining to call it a night! But, I wanted to get an early start if I was to see all this clan had to offer. Artisans, researchers, warriors and mages seem drawn here and there is something new to see around every corner!

Their vast, ancient archives were an immeasurably valuable resource to me. Reading some of these tomes has already given me so many new destinations I want to visit! I spoke with a cartographer here, Nataly, and added some details to my travel plans. I've learned so much about Sorneith in my time here, but the history of this clan itself seems to have been erased, or at least hidden very well. How mysterious! But I must be on my way soon, and I'm afraid that the answers to my curiosity might take a lifetime to uncover. Alas, it is not my calling. Perhaps someone will find the notes I am leaving behind useful, anyway. As for me, I'm off to continue my own journey.

I managed to return to the Scarred Wasteland, though I felt like this clan was a little different, since it also bordered the Tangled Wood.

I enjoyed my stay. I got along with the other dragons who were staying in the lodge - especially Langsty, who I fell in love with! He and I had three children - Schmetterling, Metelyk, and Mariposa - before we went on our separate ways.

I made my way at last to Dragonhome. It was quite different there than I expected! The settlements were fewer and farther between, with a lot of open desert stretching across the horizon. Thankfully, there was a city by the Colonnades of Antiquity with a comfortable inn to stay at. The city was nice and the dragons even more so. There was another Veilspun originating from the city who was looking to get out on the road. The sweet thing was only a hatchling - really, she reminded me of my own hatchlings, left behind in the clan I last stayed with. Kiri was an aspiring cook, and though she was rough around the edges, I could tell her heart was in the right place. While I had nothing to teach her, I did wish her well as I left the city later in the month for new scenery.
