Calder

Uh-oh, looks like this ridgeback explorer wandered a little too far from his lair (111525, Kiithe), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

As hatchlings Calder and his sister Izaro were destructive, violent with the other hatchlings, and generally ignored anything Acaph and Kaja would do or say. They did however listen to their father, the tiny fae had an odd sway over the little ridgebacks, despite his diminutive size compared to them.

Calder was always more a fighter than his sister, and hated the water, despite his mother teaching the two to swim. Why swim when you could just fly over the water in the first place? He enjoys a good battle more than anything in the world!

The ridgeback siblings have decided to strike out on their own! See new sights, explore new lands, maybe join a new clan, or start their own! After giving their goodbyes to their family and clannmates, they headed to the edge of the Plateau and each headed off in a different direction. Calder hopes to visit the Wyrmwound after hearing horrific tales of the place from a coatl in his clan.

During his long stay in my clan Calder has a clutch of three hatchlings with one of the local pearlcatchers, and despite the lax and peaceful nature of the clan he has gotten a little bit of training in. However, the clan will soon expand beyond the Tidepools and into the Sea proper - it's time for the water averse to move on.

After arriving in Wind territory, Calder was feeling the itch again. He found a clan that took him in, and didn't mind he nested with one of the residents. They had two lovely little Snapper children, but Calder was restless. He had to keep moving.

Notes from felistopaz:
For a little while, Calder stayed with a Light clan from the Mirrorlight Promenade. He became fast friends with a fierce mirror lady named Vilia, one of the clan's best fighters, who took him along on escapades to the Kelp Beds. "to show him how a real fight goes", as she said. After a while, however, a new group of youngsters arrived, which Vilia among others of the clan's veterans were to help train for their service in the Lightweaver's ranks, and from then on, she found little time to spend with Calder.

Calder stayed in the Clan of Diversity for a long time, almost wondering if he was perhaps going to settle down for once. He made good friends with the clan's only other ridgeback, Elyos. Though soon he found that he had that wanderlust again and he decided that he should leave once more. After all, there were always more adventures to be had.

It wasn't long before calder stumbled upon the Thunder-Arrow clan, a diverse & huge family of dragons of all species and colors.Calder was quick to befriend Marowak, the only male ridgeback in the clan who was relieved to see him. With his help, Calder learned the roles everyone played in the clan, big or small everyone had one. This left Calder wondering if he could be a part of a family again. He stayed for awhile in the arcane clan before feeling the need to travel again...
