Gratia had been rather lonely, being the only Nocturne in her lair, and so the clan grabbed some treasure from the vaults to be able to buy her a playmate. The price tag on these babies were usually extremely high, but by chance, a few dragons had chanced upon an auction at a fairly cheap price. To their surprise, they had won it, and so they gave some of the hard earned treasure to be able to have their second Nocturne, Fortis.
Despite being younger than Gratia by a day, Fortis immediately showed some sort of protective instinct over her. He attempts to copy what he believes are the strongest and manliest of dragons in the lair, but sometimes mimics something that is not quite the case. The more mischievous dragons would pull pranks on him this way, but they'd easily be caught and scolded afterward, to Fortis' confusion.
