Jolly was once a bucktooth-out-of-the-hat magician, struggling to make his name known across Sornieth. One day, he realized that it wasn't quite the most lucrative business to be in. Not when arcane dragons were permeating the scene, at least, and certainly not when his parlor tricks paled in comparison to the great feats those blessed with true magic could accomplish. He'd never been gifted with such flashy powers; Earth dragons got the short end of the stick there, his mother said. Nevertheless, Jolly was hardly put out by these words. He decided to pack up his hat and wand and move on to the next best thing – he followed her footsteps and became a seamster.

His clothes and fabrics are truly remarkable, or marketed as being such. The little magic he does have he uses to enchant them, with patterns never before seen or worn. They move, they shine and shimmer, and sometimes they explode. But not always, he's quick to stress. Those are usually the prototypes, which he'd never sell. Never.

He kept the rabbit.
