Looks like this vagabond wanderer has travelled a little too far from their home lair (663015, sunnyflowerzs) on a journey to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, they'd really appreciate it if you could just return them to their home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but they would be very grateful!

Phlegyas (pronounced fledge-yis):

A nomadic dragon on a journey across Sornieth in search of power and glory. Also looking for signs of where their estranged brother went after he mysteriously vanished from home one day. Perhaps they'll find their answers somewhere during their travels throughout the world.

Travel Log:

(8/25/23) Today marks the day I've begun my journey. I spent the morning preparing my things before bidding Mother and Father farewell. There's a long road ahead of me, but I'm prepared to do anything to bring my dreams of becoming a skilled warrior to fruition. (and, maybe, somewhere along the way, I'll run into Bon and finally get an explanation out of him... I think that would put Mom and Dad at ease.) Hopefully someday, I'll return home and tell my family of the many wonderful and exciting things I've seen during my travels. Here's to a worthwhile adventure~!

(9/4/23) Somehow I've ended up in some kind of bizarro land. I got here through the plaguelands, but I'm not sure where I am anymore...I keep meeting strange creatures, and none of them are particularly friendly. At least it's put my fighting abilities to the test.

Eventually I found another dragon, a little fae cowering before a giant insectoid monster. He was way too big for the fae to take on, so I made quick work of him. That fae introduced himself as Zorro, and he seemed really shy and helpless. I felt bad leaving him in this weird place, so I offered to help him find a way out. We'll get out of this together!

(9/19/23) I accompanied Zorro to the Viridian Labyrinth. He was incredibly shaken by the experience we had in the strange land, and I didn't feel right leaving him alone after. I hadn't been to the Viridian Labyrinth yet before that, so I really didn't mind too much. Bon had mentioned it once or twice before he disappeared, so I was hoping that I would find some sign of him while there.

I enjoyed travelling with Zorro more than I thought I would. He seemed rather scared and helpless when I first met him, but as we travelled together he truly came out of his shell. I learned that he had some fighting experience, and we began to spar together as we made our way across the continent. He had been traveling for longer than I had, and showed me many things about the elemental lands and surviving the different kinds of wilderness across Sornieth. He was my first travelling partner; I never planned to have one, but I really enjoyed travelling with him. I wasn't ready to separate by the time we reached the Viridian Labyrinth, and Zorro himself was ready to travel again, so I asked him to pick our next destination. He took us to a large clan known as Kel Asari. There, I was able to train with the mages and warriors of the clan. I never experimented much with magic, but it felt... right. I know I'm not a very strong dragon, and though I hope to get stronger, magic seems to come easily to me. I still need to train it, but I may focus on it more.

I found a lead on Bon while I was there. Kel Asari keeps a record of all travelers that come through their clan - their name, when they arrived and when they left, and sometimes even where they would be going next. Bon's name was in their records, and it said he was going to the Shifting Expanse. Gods know why.

I had to leave shortly after finding out. It was hard to sit still after. I'm writing this on the airship back to continental Sornieth, along with a letter to Zorro. My magic is still unrefined, but I learned an enchantment while I was in Kel Asari; it creates a messenger spirit attached to whatever was enchanted, and theoretically the spirit could find and pass on messages to any dragon willing to be found, should the dragon sending them know the recipient's name and location. It's not much faster than a courier, but it would make keeping in touch easier. I just finished making one for him, and I'll be sending it with the letter to him. I've made one for myself, and I'll be making one for Mom and Dad too once I can buy more materials.

I tried using it to contact Bon already to no avail. Either he isn't in the Shifting Expanse anymore, or...

I don't know. I don't want to think about it. I wish I could talk to Zorro right now. I'll find Bon, someday, wherever he is.

Personality:

Sharp and quick-witted, fast to make judgements about other people and very good at reading others' thoughts. Very ambitious and a bit of a dreamer, always energetic and generally quite well-spoken. Not particularly strong, but their agility, both mental and physical, largely makes up for it.

Azizos and Chryse - their parents, who they love dearly & write to on the regular
Bon (nicknamed Bonbon) - their brother, with whom they had a strained relationship before Bon mysteriously disappeared from home
