Khryseis

Upon finding a shimmering pearl inside of an Olympia oyster as a child, Khryseis decided that she was destined for something other than being a guardian. She simply couldn't fathom the possibility of her glorious self doomed to stand watch over some rusted teakettle or insignificant creature. No; she knew what her charge was meant to be, and it was to be a glorious, shining pearl of her own creation.

Though she couldn't convince her parents to save her eggshell, this was no impediment to her quest. Once she was old enough, she sought out the Lightweaver, who she believed could change her form to that which she desired. She told the Deity of Light, should she grant her wish, she would follow the path of Light for the rest of her life. The Lightweaver, honored and appeased by Khryseis's promise, granted her wish. The Lightweaver nodded her head, and after a few moments, a delicate, glistening pearlcatcher stood where a mighty guardian had been moments before.

Her guardian parents, insulted that the form they had given their child wasn't good enough, disowned Khryseis, but that was alright with her. She found a new family in Kaith's clan, and using the oyster pearl she had so treasured as a child, she began forming her own pearl from a lifetime's worth of stored memories. She has shunned the way of Plague and follows the way of Light, seeking knowledge and truth wherever she goes.
