Biography

Tsunami
"Oh, no, don't be intimidated by him. Yes he is the guard here, but that doesn't mean he's scary. He's practically a giant puppy!"
-Godiva, showing a new comer the nesting grounds

Who, who are you really?
Some Guardians spend years searching the corners of Sornieth looking for their charge, that one thing they're always meant to serve and protect; Tsunami is not one of those dragons. In fact, Tsunami was lucky enough to be born in the clan right next door to his charge: the Aikka clan's nesting grounds.

Of course, this means that he never went about Sornieth, meeting new cultures and dragons, and is a bit sheltered as a result. He doesn't mean to be insensitive, per say, but he just doesn't have the frame of reference to get those of other cultures/flights. Besides, what does he care about what others are doing, when Nature and the Gladekeeper were clearly the superior flight to serve anyways?
He's not rude so much as he comes off as dismissive to those of other ideologies and flights.

Tsunami has never really been wanting, with regards to finding his charge, or food, or other basic needs, so he has quite a few hobbies to pass the time--he's learned all sorts of practical skills, like knitting, sewing, basic construction, sculpting, and more from others, but also likes to participate in games and reading. When he has no one to keep him company, he's often found reclining in the largest tree in the nesting grounds, partaking in some mundane hobby of his. Older members of the clan remark how cute they think it is when they see him tip-toeing around the nests, careful not to harm any of the eggs contained within.

And where, where are you going?
Tsunami was a bit of an oddity to his parents.

Guardians need charges. That is a fact as obvious as the sky being blue. And Tankoushoku, Tsunami's mother, always assured him that it would one day be his turn to leave the nest to find his charge, as was a right of passage for all Guardians.

So what mystified his parents, but especially his mother, was his insistence that he needed no journey to find his charge. In fact, he told her point blank that he didn't need to leave the nests at all. No matter how they argued about it, neither parent nor child would budge; Tankoushoku assured Tsunami that he would have to leave the nest to find his charge one day, and Tsunami assured her that it was not necessary.

Eventually, his parents just wrote off his protests as a phase. Even with their bickering about his charge, his parents still cared for him and did their best to have a good relationship with him, and so they decided to leave well enough alone until the time came for him to leave for his journey.

Well, the day for his journey came as he reached adulthood. His siblings all prepared their goodbyes and packed up what little belongings would be coming with them. Tankoushoku once again got nervous when she saw Tsunami had done absolutely no prep for his journey whatsoever.

When his father pulled him aside to ask what was going on, Tsnuami simply answered that he would come back for his things when he was settled into his new lair. Slightly suspicious, but choosing to trust his child, Silver returned to Tsunami's mother and assured her that Tsunami would be fine. It was his journey, after all, and he needed to complete it however was right for him.

As his elder brother set off to leave the nest, Tsunami watched with his parents as he left. When his mother pushed him to leave as well, Tsunami got up, walked to the clan next door, and sat in the middle of their nesting grounds.

...Oh. Turns out he really never needed to leave the nests after all.
