Jupiter is empowered by energy drawn from storms that crackle at the very cusp of Sornieth's atmosphere, where the air begins to touch the void. Thanks to the Magistry's discoveries, this power has been fused to his very being since he went through the Stardust Ritual. It surrounds him permanently, keeping at bay anyone who'd dare get too close. Unfortunately, it means friends and allies also have to maintain a distance.

He is a dragon full of rage yet fond of intellectual discussion, that being perhaps the only sense of connection he can make when he can't sit beside an acquaintance for fear of frying them.

Brave Ulysses is one of the few capable of weathering Jupiter's storms. A harpy of some magical talent, he harnesses the energy from the dragon and channels it into his own spells. The pair are potent in combat, and while they prefer to do research in peace, they are often summoned to respond to Shade incursions in the Starfall Isles.

Jupiter's fury may be off-putting to some, but Ulysses bears an equally moody exterior, and the two seem to greatly enjoy each others' companies.
