Since his youth, Kami had already known that he was destined for great things. Being the reincarnation of the God of the Crescent Half-Moon, it was his destiny to exact revenge on the other Gods whose ancestors had betrayed him in his past life.

(At least, this is the story he would tell you if asked about the strange and aloof manner in which he interacts with all those around him. No one in Mystorica really believes in this story, but if it was indeed a peculiar childhood fantasy Kami had harboured, it had long since grown way out of control.)

As one could imagine, Kami did not have many friends growing up as, if indeed, he was the reincarnation of a God, then why should he associate himself with the unwashed masses who failed to acknowledge and worship his brilliance? Ultimately, Kami withdrew into himself, honing his craft in the creation and enchantment of powerful artefacts, hoping, and biding his time till when the God-slayers do arrive at his doorsteps (And they will, Kami’s certain), he’ll have the distinct pleasure of slaughtering them all.

For now, however, Kami runs a quiet workshop- The World’s End Workshop- that is situated near the outskirts of the village of Mystorica. He provides the locals with valuable services to hone and refine their prized artefacts, and in turn, the other locals tolerate Kami and his overbearing superiority complex.
