August was assigned to the Seeker order as a young dragon, assigned to wander the Abiding Boneyard with a group of other gaoler to contain the pestilent creatures that called the wasteland home. He had never fit in; he was too sheepish and meek for his fellow Seekers to keep around. In a particularly vicious battle, August was thrown to a herd of undying featherback as bait.

It was then he heard Her call. In a moment, his eyes closed, then opened again, and he was in a realm he could not comprehend, honeyed words seeping into his ears and pouring over his mind. He suddenly understood everything. He was meek and frail unlike his gaoler brethren because he was not a gaoler at all. a wayward consciousness, sent to Sornieth for one purpose alone; to serve.

When August awoke, he was alone. He knew where he needed to go. His feet drove him to the Heartwyrm, where his fellow servants were waiting to welcome him with open wings. Ever since then, he climbed up their ranks and eventually became in charge of exaltation; the highest honor. With one twist of his claws, he can send one of his own to serve his deity directly.
