Everyone knows that Jadus is easily the wealthiest single inhabitant of the Clanhold, and as many rightly suspect, she surpasses the entire clan combined. She is not a formal member, as she pays rent in order to avoid being called on for typical duties.

Each half does not have a separate name, as both answer to Jadus. Decision-making is determined by day, split evenly; one head will be speaker and have the final say on important matters on one day, and the other will do so the next day.

When speaking to one another, both call each other 'sister'.

Jadus is simply a businesswoman. There is certainly nothing shady about her profits, not to the public eye anyway.

She's a moneylender, in simplest terms. When dragons come to her in a time of need, who is she to turn them away? How can she resist the appeal of helping those less fortunate than her (and, of course, the prospect of making a good deal of profit off of interest)?

It's really unfortunate, though, when they don't end up paying her back. When they need more time than she can give them, or when they simply disappear. How very frustrating.

Luckily, she has a bit of a safeguard. She's found that dragons are much more likely to pay back their loans in a timely manner when there's some... incentive, shall we say, involved. When failure to pay comes with irrevocable consequences to their reputation.

Jadus is very good at finding things out. Her expansive and well-paid network is nested throughout the whole of Sornieth; she is never without extensive knowledge of her clients, especially the unsavory kind.

Of course, it's not really blackmail. Just a nice little bit of security. After all, having her clients pay their dues is the least she could ask.

If they fail to do so... well, who can blame her for teaching them a lesson?
