Yula the Gardener
I. A mysterious water dragon who typically keeps to herself, Yula doesn't disclose to anyone where she came from. And no one has ever dared to ask due to her getting snappy at anyone else who might try to ask. All anyone knows is she refuses to ever return home, even just to visit. Whether this means she committed a crime or just left, no one knows.II. When Yula joined the Empire, she showed herself as a very loyal member from the beginning. As a Water dragon, she was accepting even by those who professed to hate outsiders. At least she was from the same element as the majority of the Empire. Corrente even tried to become good friends with her, but Yula declined. She didn't like how two-faced Corrente seemed, and would rebuke her whenever she approached. At first, Yula didn't know what she wanted to do within the Empire. She wandered around a little, unsure of how she wanted to fit in. And then she met Sakura, an older gardener who seemed very skilled in her abilities. Yula and Sakura grew close together, and as Sakura showed Yula how to garden, she decided that's what she wanted to do. So she went to Aislinn and asked to become part of Eirmoa as a gardener, and the empress allowed it. III. While working in her gardeners, she was one day approached by Valeth. He was a scribe, out on his first appointment to record the amount of crops the gardeners were bringing in. Yula was assigned to report this to him, and so the two talked about their new jobs. Valeth had just joined recently as well, and he was very interested in how Yula was interested in her work despite being so new. Yula found herself opening up to Valeth, and the two eventually became partners. A few years after their marriage, they welcomed a clutch of eggs into their life. Their middle egg hatched dead, and they were heartbroken over it. But they decided to name their two living hatchlings after butterflies. Swallowtail would eventually follow in her mother's footsteps and become a gardener, while Adonis would decide singing was his passion. |
