Chrysocolla and her brother Nuummite hail from the Arcane clan, led by the dragon Immacolata, with which Mote had a close friendship before its mysterious demise. An adventurous hatchling, Chryssi was eager to see the Tangled Wood from which the mysterious Shadow Dragons emerge at the time of her birth; she has always believed her colouring to be an omen of this event. Once ties had been established between the two clans, Chrysocolla journeyed with her brother, the two being as inseparable as Familiars. Mote readily accepted them both into her clan, though Maleficent has always been a little snooty about 'latecomers' (referring to her own, original envoy).

Chryssie's first Familiar came from the Shadow Woods, and she is tickled by its chameleon similarity to the guardian bears of her homeland. The silly thing had fallen asleep inside one of the mysterious chests deposited by Nocturnes at their solstice dispersal. As it seems to spend most of its time asleep, the Familiar clearly doesn't mind where it lives, as long as it is warm and well fed.

[Insert img of Ice Golem] Chrysocolla's appearance two winters ago followed an illicit raid into the food stores; Coatls don't deal well with the cold and the deep-freeze where the clan stores its fish turned her blue - as if the dripping fish guts weren't clue enough to her misdemeanour. Mote isn't sure if it didn't have more to do with the strange 'frost touch' that spread through the lair that winter, but in any event says it might have served the greedy dragon right!
