Hafizira

"Don't make me come over there."

Hafizira was born centuries ago, and has been witness to countless clans rising and falling. She spent much of her adolescence on her Search, roaming from one edge of the world to the other, seeking that which would make her whole. She finally found it, hidden away in a cave within one of the many mesas of the Shifting Expanse - an ancient crystal that crackled and flared with electricity. This was her Charge. This was what Hafizira would devote herself to. Over the next decades, Hafizira expanded the cave and further hollowed the mesa. She formed a clan with herself at the head.

A wise old crone of a dragon, Hafizira is like a mother to many of the clan, who she refers to as her children even if she did not bear them herself. She has little patience for fools, but is happy to give advice and compassion when it is needed. However, in recent years, her age appears to be taking a toll on her. She spends more and more time curled up near her Charge, sleeping away weeks and even months at a time. Rumours are beginning to spread in the clan that Hafizira is dying, and that the reason Karrise, the clan mystic, spends so much time with her is that the pearlcatcher is simply trying to delay the passing of her closest friend.

Only they know, and neither is willing to tell.
