Karrise lost her pearl in her adolescent years, and believed it irretrievable until one of Hafizira's dragons helped her find it. Indebted to the clan and in need of a new home after being cast out of her birth clan for losing her pearl in the first place, Karrise took up a position in Hafizira's clan as their mystic. She took to the healing arts with remarkable speed, and rapidly become one of Hafizira's most trusted allies.

Pearlcatchers are mostly pacifistic by nature and Karrise is little different; she prefers to avoid direct conflict and stays behind the front lines, healing others. However, nowadays she spends more time at the clanhome, tending to the ageing Hafizira. There are rumours circulating that the old guardian dragon is dying, and that Karrise is simply delaying the inevitable. But that can't be right... can it?
