Biography
Cesiru was adopted by Tempest and Tisane at just the right time. He was feeling a little lonesome and was in need of some guidance and companionship, just as his new little brother (and instant best friend), ButterflyPea, was beginning to clamor with passionate persistence for siblings to play with.
The two boys became the defacto leaders and role-models for a seemingly ever-growing household of hatchlings- many from Tempest and Tisane's own eggs, but approximately as many adopted into the family just as Cesiru was.
Their parents have raised the brood with a deep cultural connection to tea and tea lore. Family loyalty, reverence for nature, gentleness, compassion, hospitality, and adoption are also central values. Tempest, being a storm dragon and the son of a storm dragon and a seer, has reared his children to identify and channel their wild passions. He has also encouraged them to face the future with hope, humility, and courage. Tissane, a tasseomancer of seemingly boundless patience, has been instrumental in these lessons.
As Cesiru, ButterflyPea, and their most proximate siblings are beginning to find mates and start families of their own, they are committed to sharing these traditions with their mates and passing this wisdom down to their own children.
ButterflyPea, always one attracted to bright colors, found himself somewhat dumbstruck one day that somehow he had never before fully appreciated the melodic laughter and undeniable sweetness of SquashBlossom and CherryCreek's daughter, Guavabelle. How had he failed to notice her charm, subtle wit and gentle kindness before??
He found himself suddenly quite tongue-tied and unsure of himself. Despite many lessons in etiquette from his mother, all-at-once he was desperate for a refresher. With the encouragement of his elder brother and younger sisters and some pointers and advice from his parents, ButterflyPea began courting Guavabelle. His first attempts were quite shy and simply came across as overtures of deepening friendship, but as his understanding of the bright young coatl deepened, so did his insight into her interests, her sense of humor, and his own confidence.
What seemed at first to be a nervous and superficial flirtation, proved to be an earnest and persistent demonstration of ever-deepening respect and admiration. Guavabelle was not only flattered, but intrigued. She discovered that ButterflyPea was, once he got over his shyness, a natural story-teller, a whimsical philosopher, and a very tender companion.
Weeks turned into months and months became increasingly passionate. As the seasons changed, their childhood friendship had developed into a deep, mutual romance.
The pair proudly welcomed a nest of four healthy eggs who emerged as bright and beautiful hatchlings on the second day of April. They are a bit overwhelmed with the four precocious babies: two daughters, a son, and a non-binary child whose affinity for all things copper and habit of persistent whistling earned them the name "Kettle", but they are extremely happy.
