- amantevuelo and kukla were on a trial raid for testing some new cavalry equipment
- targeting traders in the icefield

- ducked into a plateau harbor for sales/resupply
- and the windsinger is VERY AWARE of when the sunrot navy visits, since you can't get through the crescendo without his permission

- anyway they were pawing through the prize treasure
- a lot of it being sealed up to try and disguise it from tax agents/gaolers/etc as they were being smuggled to/from various regions
- and they found a small glacier mummy hidden in a barrel of beans
- amantevuelo picked it up
- and a random windborn sidled up to her and said "hey. wanna baby?"
- and she said what but the windsinger was already blasting the thing with magic

- okay so amantevuelo is pretty one-track minded about the cavalry and thus wasn't interested in taking time off for family rearing
- but windsinger literally custom made this kid for her
- they're insane (affectionate)

- it's been twenty years. the cavalry is pretty solidified in their techniques at this point
- there are both copycats and efforts to combat them
- which have to be combated against in turn, meaning they're still trying out new things, but still

- the issue with other clans trying their own cavalries is that having more than a couple big dragons running around in their dragonskins all day is So expensive
- so they tend to be undertrained if trained at all
