Biography
HIVE MEMBER TYPE: DEFECTIVE
An extreme variation of the genetic norm, suffering an ailment identical to albinism. They never last long in a normal hive, as their bright white coloring makes them obvious targets. Many defective drones are also hatched without a connection to the hivemind, which makes them especially deadly, as they do not require that connection to stay alive. However, they are not hatched with their own individuality, and thus often live confused, broken lives.
The most standard eyes, and quite ordinary to boot. They will not earn a second glance from either drone or consciousness. These drones are not at risk and possess no special properties.
Crackle is typically a pattern gene, but may be indicative of injury. Alternatively, drones with Crackle that closely matches their primary and secondary may be transistor drones, which act as signal boosters for a consciousness’s wavelength. Like radio towers, transistor drones are stationed on the outposts of a hive’s territory to spread its range of influence.
(I see Veined here as a lass severe version of Crackle.)
