Theme: Mimic Slimes (also known as Mimis)!
In the world of Draumvollr, Mimis are bio-constructs that can take on the form of anything they've absorbed, including other life forms! Originally created as part of an automated defense system still actively protecting abandoned dwarven ruins, in Sornieth they are the artificed guardians of Nightmaw's workshop, reverse-engineered by the Professor himself after their discovery in his extraplanar adventures. No one is really quite sure why the first success turned out to look remarkably like the Ridgeback species, but you won't find his security team complaining about having such an intimidating stature bolstering their numbers, even if they are a little... odd.
