Emberfoot's earliest memories are a wash of cold solitude. Soft claws desperately cling to quickly melting ice and waves lap at his tail. Then, warmth. Feathers envelop him in an embrace that is barely familiar and humming vibrates his small, wet frame. He knows he is safe and quickly falls to sleep.

A Gaoler among Coatls is a peculiar sight, especially since the ancient breed has been so secluded that the mere thought of their existence is enough to raise questions. Although no dragon knows how Emberfoot managed to find himself on an ice floe off the coast of the Ashfall Waste, he was raised like any other in the domain of the Flamecaller. Though he couldn't use fire magic to resist extreme heat, his ice magic kept him cool in the mines where he found himself proficient in gathering various ores and gems for the metalworkers.

Eventually finding his way to Magmablood Rebuke with his companion Aodh, he solidified his place among the flames. And yet, he still felt that twinge of loneliness that has lived within him since the ice floe. That is, until he met another like him. Thunderclap's arrival to the island caused a wave of emotion to wash over him. Joy, curiosity, excitement, and even a bit of fear of facing another like him. An embodiment of that iciness that has only ever given him grief has planted itself in front of him and he embraced it.

After the initial shock, he told her about the ways of fire dragons and his story. He expressed admiration of her mission and it was not long before she invited him on it. He was taken aback but quickly accepted, overjoyed with the idea of seeing the rest of Sorneith and with one of his own, no less! Together they traveled the world, perfect complements of each other. They met many clans, dragon and beast alike, and learned much. Over time, they fell for each other and returned a final time to the Stockade and petitioned for Thunderclap's retirement and her own clan.

Now, they spend their days still active in combatting the Shade, but Emberfoot has encouraged Thunderclap to step back from the front lines and put her wisdom to good use in leadership.
