One would pity the fool who made the conscious decision to traverse around the Emperor's Wake and Hewn City. It is not uncommon for plucky dragons to meet their untimely demise in realms that far from welcome them, but if fortune shines upon thee, a faint blue glow may serve as a beacon towards refuge.

An imperial in hooded cloth seeks the lost and injured, guiding them to a venerable lair and offering an open ear and unfolded wing. Food and shelter are offered in exchange for news and goods from outside of the Hewn City's voidal bubble.

All is quite well in the end, so long as one can overlook the Imperial resurrecting the dead.

No; it states that such a thing is beyond its power, though it is flattered at the implication. The forsaken and spectral beings were simply drawn forth with pure light. Warmth and guidance are exchanged for protection within the most hostile areas of the kingdom's depths.

Spells cannot account for everything, after all. At times, tooth and claw must decide fate, and that is what the Forsaken's destiny entails.

When asked what the Lightweaver would think of such atrocities, the Imperial's ears press back the slightest touch.

“I believe in two possibilities,” he states, voice even. “Either this place encroached with darkness is a blind spot to her radiance,”

He tilts his head upwards, gazing at the skies above, unblinking,

“or I have yet to aptly draw her gaze to me.”
