Two dragons with similar dispositions, Talona spends much of her time off-duty in the Clan with Moloch. It is unlikely that either of them will say a word to each other, so how they get along so well is esoteric and unknown.

Talona has said, both on and off the record, that if they weren’t in the same Clan, she would have thrown Darvena (“that tree-mating crybaby”) into the Wyrmwound herself. It is likely she contains her murderous impulses because she has nowhere else to go if the Clan throws her out.

One of the few other Plague dragons in Lumenstar, Talona and Naga connected in a way that few dragons ever do. What began as simply sitting next to each other at lunch grew into a deep bond. Naga refers to Talona as his “sister” without a second thought.

Like many of her colleagues, Talona was recruited by Lumenstar to fill a hole in their diplomatic roster. The Scarred Wasteland is considered by certain dragons in Lumenstar as “barely a functioning territory” and “a glorified quarantine zone”. Regardless, Ayano’s peace-centric policies necessitated a Dragon to represent interests between Lumenstar and the Plague Flight. Thus, Talona, renowned fighter and feared hunter, was recruited.

Talona is sharp, short, and quick to anger. While she is loyal to the Clan, she much prefers her time in the Scarred Wasteland, being away for the longest durations of any other diplomat. Her strength and reputation means that diplomatic talks go smoothly, usually out of fear, occasionally out of respect.

Rarely actually seen in the Lair, Talona spends her short returns with Moloch and Naga, leaving reports on Astra’s desk without a word. Perhaps being the only Gaoler in the Clan has made her feel isolated, but if this is the case, she has yet to tell anyone.

The Plaguebringer was born into Sornieth fighting, and in this respect, Talona is much like her ancient creator. She speaks of the Plaguebringer with extreme reverence, a devotion that makes her one of the most religious of Lumenstar. Unfortunately, this makes her feel quite negatively towards Nature dragons, to an extent that she may yet cause Lumenstar real problems.

Talona has possibly the shortest temper in the Clan, and certainly among the diplomats. Discussions involving the Plague Flight are usually loud and end with threats of violence. Or just violence. Regardless, Talona does get results, even if she’s not the paragon of diplomacy.
