His parents were going through a rough patch, constantly arguing and fighting. One night, his father took him and his siblings outside and dumped them in a box, writing a small price on the side. He sat next to the box the whole night, as he watched his children be purchased in silence. By morning, only Kousa was left. No one had wanted him due to his odd coloring. His father was full of silent anger at his mate, so he simply dumped Kousa out onto the floor and swept away. A very difficult beginning for a positive and ever-excitable hatchling such as himself. His mother was in tears over her lost children- Kousa could hear her crying from his spot outside. He watched his father clatter out the door, leaving it hanging open behind him. He left with a small box. Kousa never saw him again. He was terrified to go inside to his mother for fear of what she would do. He had only hatched a few hours ago, after all, and knew nothing but the cruelty of his father. He wandered off into the night, all alone in the dark and cold. It took a few days for Hemlock, the resident father of all those left unwanted, took notice of him. He was given a home and a name. Because of the kindness of one dragon, this young one was given another chance at life, one he is determined to make matter. Eventually, he reconnected with his mother, who sobbed over him and wouldn't let go for quite some time. She told the story from her own perspective, and he learned she was heartbroken over the loss of her children. She had never stopped missing him and his siblings. Now, he works as the Head of Acceptance, which essentially means he welcomes those arriving at the Orders gates, and keeps track of any currently residing within. He also sells tickets for the Circus running within the Order. He is the happiest dragon you will ever meet. He loves to chatter, and tell all sorts of stories. He simply adores making friends, and he loves his fellow clanmates and has sort of been adopted as the little sister of the whole clan. A very positive and pleasant individual. But he has developed Monophobia, the fear of being alone, which causes him to feel extremely anxious when he is by himself, or even feel distant from those he is with, and and causes him to live in constant fear of abandonment. Well, I suppose some must get a happy ending. That's about as happy as his story could end up. He loves collecting his favorite purple flowers on nice summer days! He carries a basket full around, and with them comes the bees. They have a hive growing in the ropes he draped over his wings for them. They won't harm him, which confuses the heck out of the rest in the lair. It seems they just sense his happy, excitable energy! - Because of his constant chattering he sometimes stumbles over words and has to repeat himself - in addition to the purple flowers he collects, he also plants a few flowers of his own in a personal garden - His positive energy can sometimes be misconstrued as creepy by dragons he welcomes, even if he doesn’t intend to come off that way - there are times, however, where this happy persona falters a bit before he reminds himself to be positive |
