Fractaloid is among the most widely renowned astrophycisists and historians of Sornieth━and one of the Sundial Order's many shameless nerds. While rather oblivious to her surroundings at times (and prone to making terrible science puns all the time), she boasts an incredible aptitude for focus, brainpower, and philosophical thinking, making her invaluable to every team she's a part of.

Just a little while ago━or was it years upon years ago?━ Fractaloid left a job contract at the Tourmaline Archives, where she's spent most of her life. Promises of brand-new research brewing in the Sunbeam Ruins brought her and many of her colleagues to a little village right here in the Hewn City━one overlooking Emperor's Wake.

- Again, she makes terrible science puns.
- Aside from her work, she loves making conlangs and learning (usually dead) languages, as well as poetry in said languages.
- She always strives to leave a lasting imprint in other dragons' minds, but she has no real idea of how good she is at it.
- She gets very little sleep; it gets in the way of her "being a polymath."
- There's a sticky note on her wall reading, "Note to self: get a business card," and it's been there so long she doesn't even remember when she wrote it.
- She still doesn't have a business card.

It is imperative that you know why I am writing this letter. It is imperative to know why I am writing it to you. And indeed, it is imperative that you know what it entails.

I write this letter today because the universe may have a limit; if there is one, even so, it will never be reached by us. There is an infinite amount of room, my friends, but no one with enough hands to grasp what would fill it.

I write this letter to you, you, because you may not currently have the hands to grasp every object to fill the room; even so, you can hold two or three large chunks of meteorite, or maybe two or three million grains of sand. And you may not currently have the reach to stretch out and pinch a star; even so, you can pick up this candle and hold it up to the sky until it melts.

This letter entails just that: if there is ever a time in which we know everything, it is not yet our time. We must be patient and humble, for the universe knows much more than we do. And in our humility we must hold high our heads, and hold high our little meteorites, our books, our kites, our candles, and our hearts.

Because, my friends, isn't that just the same as a star?
