Partner: Maple
Hickory is very sociable and outgoing. He's loud and bubbly and likes to energize those around him. He loves to kidd around and tell jokes. However, he's sometimes so loud that he speaks over and interrupts others, which can be upsetting. Hickory is part of a pair of veilspun bards. He likes to play string instruments, specifically, the guitar or the violin. He often switches between the two depending on the song he's playing.
Hickory's partner is Maple; they are very close and they care deeply for one another. He supports and loves her unconditionally, and he helps Maple stand up for herself. Due to his extroverted nature, he has tons of friends. He makes an effort to spend time with all of them and is open to trying new things for their sakes. Hickory will at least try out his friends' hobbies to connect with them more.
Hickory, along with Maple, came across their current home while looking for another town or city to play their music in. They stopped to rest for the evening and ended up greatly enjoying their stay. One evening lapsed into several weeks, and the bards eventually made their home in the clan. They still travel to different places to perform, but they always end up returning to their lair.

Maple is a very friendly, compassionate dragon. She's fairly calm and collected, and is generally quiet too... except when she's singing, of course. Maple is part of a pair of traveling bards. She is the singer, and she has a soft and lovely voice. She also plays the harp on occasion.
Maple is partners with Hickory; the two of them are very close, and they support and love each other unconditionally. Maple often helps Hickory recognize when he's speaking over others, and Hickory helps Maple stand up for herself. She loves all her friends dearly, too. Most of the time, she just wants to be in the same room as they are and listen to them talk.

Kingsley reincarnated. Everyone knows this, and no one actually calls him Salto. He's just Kingsley. After the original Kingsley disappeared out of nowhere and Salto came back weeks later, everyone was confused. Swarming him like bees after seeing this new dragon that just walked in like he owned the place. But he just reacted with a snarl and a "What are you guys talking about? It's me, Kingsley! What, are you blind and stupid? I knew you were foolish, but not to this extent. Leave me alone!" And storming off to his home.
He's stingier than ever, never sharing anything with anyone at all. He's meaner too, instead of Kingsley's usual sass and attitude, Salto goes out of his way to be mean to others. Calling out insults, tripping them, embarrassing them in front of their friends, you name it.
No one knows what really happened to him in the time that he was gone, but they usually don't stay near him long enough to even ask.
Though Salto is aggressive and unpredictable, there seems to be a sadness behind his eyes that only BeeBalm notices. He is the only one that really talks to him, so it makes sense. But unlike the original Kingsley, Salto actually overpays him for the honey he's selling. He never mentions it, acting as if he doesn't even want to be near him like usual. The truth is he really likes BeeBalm. He doesn't think that he notices, but he does. He's the only one Salto doesn't act overly rude to, and he speaks more gently when around him instead of his normal scowl and raised tone.
He brushes it off seeing it as him being lonely after pushing everyone away. BeeBalm doesn't want to admit it but he might be enjoying the little soft moments he gets with Salto. He's never been impolite, always taking his time with him and being kind and considerate of his feelings. It just freaks him out, seeing someone he used to know as a completely different dragon, and acting differently too.

LAIR IS A WIP
Nanami is... a bit kooky. Everyone in the clan knows him and how outgoing he is. He's constantly running around frantically trying to get work done, and his home is a mess. No one really knows what exactly his job is so they just leave him to it. Some said that he was a doctor before he came to live here, others said he was a scientist, a professor, an engineer, and so on. No one likes the idea of him being any of these due to his frenzied nature.
A few dragons think his macaw whispers things to him and he does what it says, but no one says it with him or the bird nearby. It's just some rumor that they like to laugh about. Tide always scolds them when she hears them laughing about him and they stop instantly, knowing she doesn't play around about people making fun of her husband. It's a silly rumor too, his macaw, Otto, isn't even with him half of the time. She kind of just does her own thing.
Growing up, Nanami was a runt. He was pushed around and made fun of by his former clanmates for this. He learned to just ignore them, not being able to do much of anything about it anyway. Whenever they'd start on him again he would just turn away and march back into his room. He didn't let it bother him anyway and grew confident in himself as time went on. Never letting anyone get him down.
While his siblings and peers were learning to fly, he was stuck on the ground, reading or scribbling in his journal. His wings were too small to lift his body, and if they somehow managed to it wasn't for long. He'd come crashing down immediately. He didn't mind too much, not having any interest in flying. He'd just stick to his books and papers.
After a while though, he did want to know what it was like to soar through the skies like he was meant to. In his teenage years, he worked the whole summer on making wing prototypes for flight. He finally perfected them and took off. Zipping around the house, knocking into things, but he was having a blast. Over time they started collecting dust, unused and forgotten after he started getting more serious about his work. He still wears them for stability, but there are cobwebs all over. Nanami doesn't care, forgets, or is too busy running around to get around to cleaning them off.
