"Caeca smiles sweetly, offering a delicate claw to the tiny creature in front of her, but she doesn't approach any closer - just coos soft and low with soothing words to ease the animal’s nerves. ‘Creatures like this just take time, dear. Time to settle, and time to earn your trust. You can’t rush them, just like you can’t rush yourself.’ The tiny creature is shaking, but step by nervous step it inches forward to gingerly sniff at her gloves. ‘There, you see,’ she says, giving it a gentle scratch under the chin ‘Just like that.’”

Caeca is the clan’s most senior dragon, and her age has brought with it years of wisdom and patience. Her sweet and caring nature is apparent even just from a passing interaction, and she’s always followed by a gaggle of familiars, big and small, who stay under her watchful eye and protection while they slowly learn to trust other dragons and find their forever homes.

Caeca was born blind, though many of the clan’s newer dragons can’t tell until they have it pointed out, her clouded eyes peering through amber-tinted glasses. She has the pathways of the clan memorized, and many of her companions serve as seeing-eye familiars, but due to her age she can find it hard to move around quickly like the youngsters do, and rarely flies anymore except in dire emergencies.

Her sister Pruna lives in the den with her, and her other sister and brother live in the lair of @lVlasterjuice.

Caeca is a soft-spoken dragon with a heart of gold and a soul of diamond. She is blind, but is just as agile and able as any other dragon, if not more so. Animals seem to have a strange attraction to her, and she has taken on the responsibility of being the Beast Keeper for the clan. One, a Smoky Bantam Fanger, has grown especially fond of her.
