When taking a stroll through The Scorching Crest Clan, one will find it nearly impossible to not bump into another dragon during the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is one dragon in particular however that you'll almost certainly meet. The ever cheerful and silly Fool known as Vein. Vein never seems to rest and always has something to say, whether it be a ridiculous pun or an absent minded remark. The female Skydancer knows everyone in the clan and everyone, much to their dismay, knows Vein. Her bubbly and odd attitude can be somewhat grating, but at the right moments she always seems to know just what to say to help an ailing dragon, no matter how peculiar the method. Vein claims her knack for hilarity and foolery must have come from her mother, who is an entertainer. Vein will admit though that her parents were always somewhat distant from her, too caught up in their official duties to interact with her. Vein was presented as a gift by her parents to Ruvik, who gladly accepted her as apart of his extended family. Secretly, Vein was saddened by her parents willingness to give her up, but was thankful she hadn't been exalted to fight under the Plaguebringer.
It never sat well with her though…

Regardless, Vein finds herself happiest entertaining the various dragons of the clan, never pausing to rest or take a breath. Sometimes she can be found in her quarters after hours when the clan simmers and fizzles to a mere ember of it's usual splendor. She peers into her mirror decorated with toys and photos and removes her mask and hat and gazes at her subtle features. “I am the best I can be. Nobody can take that from me.”A mantra she repeats to herself each night that sends shivers through her feathers still. “...I AM worth it!!” And indeed she is. |
