Biography
“Hi Diath you’re looking well.” Isceroth said.
After Diath's shock and surprise of seeing Isceroth again after so long subsided.
Isceroth explained that The Earthshaker and Gladekeeper along with the others
made a decision. Their “chosen dragons”, the ones that they directly created, who had been exalted or exalted themselves, would be given the chance to return. She chose to do so.
She had exalted herself when they found out that their children were not adopted.
But, instead exalted to the Plaguebringer.
Isceroth had been devastated. She reacted and sent herself off to serve the Gladekeeper.
Diath, on the other hand, set his mind and efforts on battle readiness.
This policy of the current clan is what most upset Isceroth. Changing the clan’s name was okay - sort of. She liked the original name of Ampezist. Moving to Earth flight is upsetting, but it did give her hope for her children. When she was told by the Gladekeeper that she was to be transferred to the Earthshaker because of the clan’s switch. She hoped someday her children would be “transferred” also, which two were. But, the clan becoming a battle clan did not make her happy.
She argued with Diath over it. She told him that she wanted to have the clan as a place of learning, peace, and artistic expression. She also reminded him that she too was linked to this clan as progen [as is he] and wanted her say.
“Look Isceroth, I care about what you say. I care about you.” Diath explained. “Well, maybe not as a mate anymore.” He admitted. “More like what sibling must feel. But,...”
“Well, at least we agree on *something*.” she interrupted with chuckle. “I feel the same way towards you now. But, I can’t stand the idea of participating in a clan that is in constant war training. I’ve seen enough of that.”
“How about,” Calysta, who had been observing until now, spoke. “Isceroth takes over the administration of Lulungomeena University? I would rather spend the time on my music and...”
“I’d still be a part of a battle clan.” Isceroth interrupted.
Calysta thought a moment, then, “What if you start and head an associate or sibling clan here on Lulungomeena, two clans allied and linked, but separate? You can base out of the University,”
“But,with such different goals. How can it work?”
“We’ve been doing that sort of thing between Earth and Nature for quite awhile now. Good, idea Lysta.” Diath added.
“You’ve a good mate, Diath. Let’s give it a try. I’ll name my clan Ampezist. Is that okay with you?” Diath nodded. “Good, she continued. “ Also, for now on I’ll go by the name, Sonnet.”
[The two Clans have since rejoined and now are one again.]
For the first trip off the island for Sonnet, since she returned from being in the service of the
Gladekeeper and Earthshaker, she decided to go to the Auction House and Trading Post to see what new items had arrived while she was away.
She asked Thari and Anscross to come along for information and negotiations.
She did find many new items including a pendant. Thari even talked down the price that allowed her to purchase a very fetching outfit to go with it.
The next day they went to the Trading post. The day started out well, the sun was bright and most of the crowd spent time around Baldwin’s. Even though, the Brew station was new to her, she wasn’t that interested. She wanted to see what Pinkerton and Swipp’s had to offer.
Not having as much luck as the day before, they began to leave the Post. Suddenly, from
a crossed the way from Baldwin’s a young Mirror jogged towards the exit. He was carrying
three sizable jars. He looked back and shouted, “ Thanks again Baldwin, but I gotta run.
My clan leader is waiting for these.” As he turned, he stumbled. The jars launched from his arms and burst open when they hit the ground. Anscross began to move Sonnet out of the way, but he was too late. Sonnet was soaked. Thari and Anscross were screened by Sonnet and did not get wet.
“Ssorry, ssso sorry.” was all the mirror could say. One of Baldwin’s assistants arrived.
“Oh my, this is not good.”
“What,” Asked Anscross moving forward to help. “Is not good?” He started to hand Sonnet
a towel. He then noticed that the liquid had absorbed into her skin.
He glared at both the mirror and assistant. He took an offensive stand. “ Explain. Now.”
There was a quick explanation about the Bogsneaks by the assistant, followed by a visit with Baldwin.
The transformation happened quite quickly. A new faster potion, Baldwin had explained.
The mirror was certain that his clan would pay for a breed change back. However, Sonnet decided to give the new look a chance first.
Sonnet has decided that she is very comfortable with her new look.
