 IZAR . HE/HIM . ROYAL COURTSMAN ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ [ CO-CONSPIRATOR TO THE CROWN ] The personal advisor of King Cadaverine. He is a weaselly little thing, using his association to the king to get whatever he wants and basking in the power it gives him, fuelling his ego to unreasonable size. Leave it to the corrupt king to find an even more corrupt advisor.
[ TRADING LIKABILITY FOR LUXURY ]
Every commoner dreads seeing him, of course. He likes to drop in to visit them as they work, assessing whether they're doing enough to be considered so useful that the kingdom would suffer if they were taken in for experimentation. He demands samples of whatever they produce for "quality assurance" purposes, but to both him and the working class it's made quite plain that the free items are meant to appease him and keep themselves off the list of expendables. He gets the finest meals, the highest quality garments, and the most luxurious suites the inns have to offer. All he ever actually has to do as far as advising the king goes is be there whenever Cadaverine needs someone to rant at or go over war strategies with. Easiest job in the world. [ BEYOND LOYAL TO A FAULT ] He fears the king of course -- any sane dragon would -- but it's almost thrilling to be such a close confidant to someone so terrifying, so strong, so absolute in their power. He likes to fantasize about how, if anyone ever hurt him, Cadaverine would ignite in a fiery wrath and make them truly regret it -- if they even come out of it alive to feel any regret at all -- but in reality he's probably seen as a replacable asset just like everyone else. To put it in simple terms...he's got it bad. Real bad. He's not the best at keeping secrets so everyone knows how he feels about the king. King Cadaverine himself might even know...but if he does, he's never brought it to attention. Izar's thankful for that. If it ever happened he might just die on the spot.
