Along with a cheerful flap of tiny wings, a busy buzz of the swarm echoes through the overgrown meadow. Another day to fulfill the duty. Another day to feed the queen. It is a fair price to pay.

Nobody quite knows how the swarm has bonded so thoroughly to Laura, but in all honesty - nobody bothers asking. It has always been there, an inseparable part of her. Some wonder how does she manage not to ever get bitten, as she never seems to be in pain. Not even when the bees seem more agitated than usual, be it for unfortunate weather or prolonged lack of sustenance whenever Laura does not travel fast enough.

She will always dodge all questions. Sometimes when she does so, a bee or two can be seen flying out of her maw as she speaks with her calm, monotonous voice. It is a fair price to pay.
