The fuzzy, glowy-eyed creatures may see you first, but they remain calm only because he has announced that a traveller shall soon make an appearance. And because he won't let go of them.

Maester is rarely seen at all, and never without his dear little friends. To be frank, one will have more luck to see them without their Maester - scattering and rummaging around rocky hills and tree trunks, focused and alert, searching for food to deliver back to the cave where their Maester resides.

If you are lucky, you may witness how he occassionally leaves his den during starry nights, counting the shining fragments falling from the endless skies above the forest. If you are of enough wits, you may get him to read your future fate for you. But be wary, he will not leave out any unpleasant details.
