Mephyst

Mephyst tried her best to settle into Clan Kyrenthir, she really did. Her brother Korvax had gone to extremes to bring her into the clan, and while she was grateful for the opportunities he has provided her, it wasn't enough.

You see, there was a voice. A voice that nibbled at her thoughts and spoke into her subconscious.

'Go deep,' said the voice. 'Seek me beneath the mansion.'

And so, restless and unfulfilled, Mephyst descended into the tunnels beneath the Palace of the Parted Veil, and found her destiny.

Lilith, that was the voice's name. A creature of blood and pain bound ages ago in a temple deep beneath Sorneith, built to contain the evil of the Blood Mother.

But Lilith has other plans. Calling to the susceptible Mephyst, she finds her disciple, and imbues Mephyst with power, cursing her to a life of darkness and blood.

Ashamed of accepting dark powers, Mephyst stayed in the tunnels beneath the mansion, researching from the dark to discover what she is. She dares not go back to the imprisoned Lilith for help.

Slowly she finds others, cursed like her to a life of blood. And in the end, she does find what she's looking for. She has found a family of outcasts like her, and finally has a home.
