Biography

"According to my research…"

Viridis is about as stereotypically Light as a dragon can possibly get. His nose is constantly buried in a scroll (or ten) and his appetite for knowledge is voracious, rivaling even the most enthusiastic Arcane scientists. His scholarly pursuits specialize in a very narrow field, but that does not stop him from showing interest in just about everything under the sun. The most mind-boggling philosophical topics and mathematical proofs are what he considers “light bedtime reading.”

Though the Wildclaw was found orphaned and abandoned on the border between Light and Shadow territories and is not related by blood to Lumens, many make the mistake of assuming Viridis is Lumens’ direct son. Viridis has exceptionally poor vision much like his adoptive father, though he does not suffer from cataracts specifically. He must constantly wear corrective glasses, but his clumsiness and somewhat scatterbrained nature lead him to losing or breaking pair after pair; his current pair is far too large for his face and them slipping off into oblivion is an ever present danger.

Viridis is most at home in a library or presenting a thesis before an academic committee, and tends towards a very nervous and somewhat excitable temperament outside of his comfort zone. He is completely useless in a fight, though he has a surprising aptitude for the healing arts. His healing abilities, however, are rarely utilized because the slightest hint of injury sends him into a panic or fainting episode. A paper cut might as well be a complete disembowelment as far as Viridis is concerned.

While in his element, Viridis is an exceptionally talented and intelligent Light scholar, skills that more than make up for his shortcomings. He is next in line to lead the clan once Lumens passes, and already serves as a valuable advisor to his adoptive father. Viridis has even received the honor of having his work recognized by the Lightweaver herself, and was invited to continue his studies within the great library of the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. But his loyalty lay with Clan Ambrosium and his father, and despite his dream of becoming a Light acolyte, he ultimately turned down the offer in order to continue carrying out his growing duties in his clan.
