Biography
It may have been the case that Ravana had merely wandered too far from her nest when Visgard first discovered the hatchling on one of his walks through the tundra; she may also have been deliberately abandoned or orphaned for all anyone in the clan knows, for Ravana is a dragon of few words. On matters relating to herself she is utterly silent. Her presence in the clan makes Rakuna uneasy, as the Guardian dragon views this large female as a probable threat to her leadership. As such, Rakuna has taken pains to keep Ravana relegated to the periphery of the clan, and it is no small secret to anyone that the clan founder would have liked nothing more than to drop the Ridgeback into the freezing sea when she was still but a hatchling.
Ravana's feelings on her treatment remain unknown as, like any typical ice-born dragon, she is not prone to bouts of discernible emotion. Though she has never made any move against Rakuna nor shown any interest in usurping the Guardian's position, she is not a completely passive member of the clan. She enjoys observing the interactions and relationships amongst the other dragons, sometimes exerting just enough influence to evoke whatever reaction she desires. Of particular interest to her was the rivalry between Maverick and Kadir; with a few choice words here and there she managed, at one point, to nearly drive them into a blood feud. Despite her efforts, however, tensions between the two have cooled as the clan territory has grown, and she has since turned her attention to other matters.
