Silvie is strong. Her mother noticed it on the day she first scraped her way out of the egg.

She revels in caves. Earth is her element, her home. She lends her architectural talents to Clan Dryleaf in return for room and board - rooms that she has dug herself in many cases.

It is thanks to her that what once was a barren rockface now has foodstores, livestock stalls and living quarters for the ever-growing population of dragons seeking the agricultural life.

Silvie loves her job.


When he arrives, with his cowl and slinking posture, and declares the caves as his, she does not know what to do.

"He's only a Guardian," the old hairball reassures her, "that's just what they're like, I'm afraid. Can't be up and changin' their minds when they decide they need to be protectin' somthin'."
