NEREIDEL
One of five children born to an amibitious tundra necromancer and equally ambitious necroservi, Nereidel was raised with the expectation of following in his father's footsteps. He shared his knowledge, gave them Plaguebringer's blessings, and guided them to the best of his abilities, with Khaladus at his side to offer her perspective and skills to best equip their clutch to master contagion that flowed through their veins as steadily as it pulsed through the wasteland itself.

Nerei is, therefore, intimately familiar with being on the receiving end venom, one of the first of Wheeze's children to distance themselves from the metaphorical nest when they returned with news that only one of them had been successful in mastering their triad of trials. Khaladus's (uncharacteristic) interest in her two guardian sons shielded them from openly worn ire and, while Nerei's siblings dispersed and left the necromantic order behind them entirely, Nerei took that spite he was oh-so acquainted with to pursue his duties as a necroservi.

It wouldn't be under his father's enterouge, of course, as the bridge between Wheeze and Nereidel was well and truly burned. Neither party especially care and they're both probably happier for it. Nerei's always thrived when it comes to taking things on the chin, though he prefers an easy route out of things when one is available. Finding a different necromancer to serve just so happened to meet both criteria.

Nerei, for lack of a more delicate phrasing, bummed around the lands surrounding the Wyrmwound after become a necroservi. He was self-sufficient enough, a proficient scavenger that kept the company of a keen-eyed vulture, but the Wastelands can be a dangerous place for a lone dragon and he returned to the relative safety of the Hellcroft's bone walls. Though ousted from his home, he found his place quickly enough, working under a fire-eyed necromancer by the name of Grast. She was - and is - a little unconventional, still keeping her flameborn heritage so openly among the city of rot, but she welcomed Nerei in and he has had little reason to leave.

Eventually becoming her necroservi, Nerei's relationship with Grast is a friendly and somewhat casual one. Although Nerei is bound to her, she asks very little of him. He primarily assists her with her priestly duties, expousing the fetid glory of the Plaguemother under the burning pyres of the Pyretic Contagion's headquarters, and offers his unshakeable presence to any young necromancers - and their variants - who have just reached the other side of their trials. He leads baptisims in her absence.

Her suspicious frequent abscence. Or should be suspiciously frequent, were Nerei the type to pry. He is content with his life, so why on earth would he dig when he can just keep things simple?

Nerei is one of papa's failures so to spite daddy he works with a different necromancer who isn't a sad little worm man. Take that Wheeze

Cloaks, represented by Sea Slug Cloaks, Capes, Cowls, Banners, Shrouds, and Guises: A symbol of authority, deception, sacrifice, uniformity, devotion, and service. Necromancers bearing cloaks often serve as priests to their clans. They are first and foremost disciples of Plaguebringer and will insist that Her tenets and decrees are followed to the letter. They guide the day-to-day spiritual practices of the clan and ensure all members are baptized with the latest plague. << Primary

Lamps, represented by Candle Cascades, Riot Hazebeacon, Sage Lanterns, Flame Candles, Delver's Lamps, Cindersphere Baubles, and Steampunk Tail Baubles: A symbol of learning, openness, bravery, exploration, humility, even-handedness, and wisdom. Necromancers bearing lamps often forgo the traditional role of noble adviser and are more often solitary. Instead of worldly power, they seek personal enlightenment, and to guide others along that path. Unlike their sigil-bearing counterparts - who seek to spread Plague gospel through domination - these Necromancers are content with a more peaceful missionary role, or that of a solitary sage who leaves others to come to them. In a group that defines themselves through their command and nobility, the humble, lamp-bearing Necromancer is a rare creature indeed.

Grast's necroservi assumedly. Blissfully ignorant to the murders (they're not his job anyway ~ ) but it is kind of funny that two siblings both just go "i do not see it" about darker aspects of their lives
