Castiel's Tale:
Once upon a time, a little dragon, who loved to play in the snow, got lost. He got lost for a long time, so long, that his family forgot him. They moved far far away.
The little dragon finally made it home, but it was no longer his home. Other dragons had taken over his home. Maybe that was why his family was gone now. He’d never find out.
So he wandered. He explored the Eleven regions, searching for his family. He began to lose hope.
“I had stopped for a while in the Light region, and even met a few interesting clans. I could tell they were not very interested in me, however, so I always excused myself. After all, I was a traveler, none could doubt me.
I had taken refuge from the heat under the shade of the great sundial, when it happened. A tiny blue fae rested above me. At first, I do not think she noticed me, for it was only exhaustion that had made her land. Apparently she was teaching several hatchlings how to fly. I was no stranger to the energy it takes to interact with hatchlings, so I was silent, as not to bother her.
‘Echo!’ she called out, and I still remained silent. A royal-hued Imperial joined us. She was quiet, but she acknowledged me with a slight incline of her head. The blue fae looked around in surprise, and finally looked down. She was so startled she almost fell from her perch.
After she recovered herself, she began to laugh, in the way only Fae’s can do. I had learned to understand it a long while ago. I couldn’t speak it, obviously, but I could understand.
“My name is Silfa,” she introduced herself. “This is Echo.”
I dipped my head in greeting, “My name is Castiel”
Silfa nodded, “Well, Castiel, the moon is rising, would you like to join my clan for the night?”
I nodded, a safe place for the night would be pleasant. The Sunbeam Ruins, or any dragon territory, was not usually the safest place to be after the moon had risen. Often creatures would… arise, and begin their hunt. A pack of said creatures could take down a full-grown male Imperial without much difficulty.
Silfa beckoned me to take flight after her, and I followed her to her clan. It was not long after I had arrived, that I realized that a clan of misfits fit me better than a lifetime of traveling ever would.
So I stayed, and I raised young, and I gathered for the clan. I was no longer lost.
