Biography
Lotus crawled up a rock that penetrated the ocean. She felt the cool breeze coming from the land to the southwest, where the clan once lived, against their scales. He sighed. It was a shame their parents couldn't enjoy the wondrous view of the endless ocean with them, for they weren't attunted to water as he was.
A drop of water landed on her snout, then another, then another, as clouds started to block out the sun. Aw, I just got here...
Exhausted from his climb up to the surface, and the rain's constant dribble relaxing him, he quickly fell asleep.
...
He blinked his eyes open, feeling soft sand under his claws instead of hard rock. He looked around, disoriented, quickly realizing he wasn't where he once was. In fact, he was somewhere much more beautiful.
Coral was stacked high, almost breaching the water's surface. Schools of fish formed into shapes of dragons and acted out scenes from legend. Seaweed in unnatural colors dottod the area, like small ribbons, and scattered shining stones gave the place an illustrious glow.
But the best part were his parents, Pyrope and Bos, dancing without a care in a world amongst the fish, as if they were the water itself. She started smiling as they reached out for their parents. Suddenly, his parents faded away, and he was returned to the rock.
"H-huh?" they mumbled, confused. She quickly realized it was merely a dream. She sighed, disappointed.
Wait, it's almost nighttime!
The sunset gave an orange sheen to the sea as they dove in as gracefully and elegantly as a water flight dragon could. As they swam about, he went back to the scenes he saw in his dream, how beautiful it was, how he felt nothing but joy there.
One day, I'll make that a reality.
