 Hodr is blind. He was born blind, but it has never affected his ability to hunt. His sense of smell rivals that of a Tundra, and his hearing is extremely acute. He was hatched in the Southern Icefield, though no one is actually sure where. His parents, Wraith and Houndra, call the Blacksand Annex home, though Wraith is of Ice origin. It is assumed that Hodr is from the Dripcave Dregs like his father, but nothing can be proven, and since he is blind, he cannot really recall any landmarks - not that there are many in the Southern Icefield.

Hodr made his way north on his own, and arrived on the southernmost tip of the Starfall Isles by riding an ice chunk of the Frigid Floes. Day and night are the same to Hodr, since he lives his life in perpetual darkness, and he can often be known to hunt after dark, when his eerie monochrome coat gives him the appearance of a strange and terrifying phantom.

Hodr doesn't say much, but his silence is not to be confused with aloofness. He's painfully shy, having been teased as a hatchling for his blindness, and he often doesn't know how to instigate social interactions. Beneath his intimidating exterior, he's a lonely soul who secretly longs for somewhere to belong.
