As the sky splits in two the dark beast falls

|Past:

Once, it was nothing, like a limb or organ. It didn't think or want or feel. But when a star, with it's sharp edges and burning aura, tore it away from It's whole and cauterized the wound in a single moment, it awoke.

It's first sensation was the burning, it's first observation was that it was falling. It's first interaction was being cradled.

It's first urge was to C O N S U M E.

Driven mostly by hunger and hindered by it's wounds, Rognaaton allowed itself to be 'raised' by the swarm of The Scatter. When it would try to devour them with it's fangs, they would provide it with sustenance and would not attack it like it was prepared for. They would speak to it softly, they would tend it's injuries, they would show it things.

They would call it their family.

|Personality:

To put it shortly, Rognaaton is a difficult creature to understand. It doesn't speak very much, and when it does it mimics unrelated conversations it's overheard with unnerving accuracy. This is not helped by the fact that the only part of it's face that is visible in most lights is it's eyes, which can be somewhat blank and inexpressive. Most of the time it seems to disregard information others attempt to teach it with disinterest, but other times it seems so intelligent it's intimidating. It also seems to have no concept of social etiquette of any kind, as it likes to eat with it's hands, bite affectionately and in irritation, drape itself over it's swarm-mates, and make bestial sounds instead of any attempt at communication.

Despite it's oddities, it does have feelings. It loves it's swarm, and it is terrified of scaring them. It's constant, soul gnawing hunger can cause it to behave in a predatory manner towards anything it perceives as food. Unfortunately, in the past it has attempted to eat hatchlings, beastclans, inedible materials, and poisons, and this has lead to some injuries inflicted to it's swarm when they attempt to take these things from it.

When it or a member of it's swarm are threatened even slightly, Rognaaton has a history of hyper aggression and only responds with violence. It isn't a decision it makes, it is an instinctive reaction that it's swarm hasn't been able to separate from it.

|Extra Information:

It has a telepathic connection with whatever it was torn from, and that thing sends it violent impulses to consume, to hurt, to eat and eat and eat and eat-
Rognaaton struggles with these urges constantly, as it doesn't want to hurt or scare it's swarm.

It can survive off plants and insects, but it needs to eat a lot of them to feel any satisfaction. It much prefers meat and seafood.

|Arankkatel| He was the first dragon Rognaaton ever encountered. Arankkatel was the one who found it after it fell, the one who tended it's wounds the most, who held it while it slept, and who took the initiative to try and teach it. He knows it the best, better than it knows itself.
