Yokai was born in the dark depths of the ocean, where the water pressure was high and the currents were strong. From a young age, Yokai displayed a strong affinity for water. She loved to dive deep into the ocean and explore the intricate coral reefs and towering kelp forests. She learned to communicate with the creatures of the sea, from the smallest plankton to the largest whales, and she developed a deep understanding and respect for their ways. However, despite her kind nature, Yokai was cursed with many blue eyes. Her eyes sparkled with a bright, otherworldly energy, and people who saw her were often frightened by her appearance. They believed that she was a harbinger of bad luck, a demon who would bring storms and floods. The name 'Yokai' was bestowed upon her by an angry villager who believed that her presence had caused a drought which had devastated his crops. Despite Yokai's best efforts to help, the villagers turned on her, accusing her of being a cursed creature who only brought misfortune. For a long time, Yokai lived a lonely existence, shunned by dragons. She spent most of her time in the ocean, where the vastness of the water made her feel small and insignificant. However, one day she stumbled upon a small village, where the farmers were on the brink of collapse from a severe drought. Yokai's heart went out to them, and she decided to use her powers to help them. She swam out to sea, deep beneath the waves, and began to chant a ritual incantation. Her blue eyes shimmered, and the ocean began to tremble. Suddenly, a great shaft of water burst into the sky, and a massive wave surged towards the village. At first, the villagers panicked, believing that Yokai had brought about the very disaster they had feared. However, as the wave reached the parched land, it was transformed into a gentle rain that nourished the soil and revived the crops. From that day on, Yokai became known as a kind and generous dragon who used her gifts to help others. She traveled across many lands, using her powers to bring rain to drought-stricken areas and to help farmers and villagers in need. Despite the continued disdain of many dragons, she continued to believe in kindness and perseverance, dedicated to spreading happiness despite the origins of her name. |
