Kiterata has long been plagued by prophetic dreams sent from the Tidelord. She is usually a quiet, calm dragon, but she has learned that if she doesn't act to see that her dreams come true, she will cause great misfortune on everyone around her. The one thing she fears most is losing her loved ones to her own mistakes in relation to failing to complete the prophecies from her dreams.
For a long time, most of her dreams had to do with finding Tenora, but she doesn't know why the Tidelord sent her out to seek a Shadow dragon in the Hewn City. If Kit had been born a Guardian, it would make more sense. As of such, Kit does not feel she has any requirement to protect Tenora, or really do anything other than have found her. Either way, her mission brought the two halves of the clan back together, and everyone is grateful for that.
