Biography
"..."
Born to a litter of four, Eclypse was a near perfect match to her. Lovely shining scales like starlight, Beautiful, healthy blue flowers growing on the edge of branches, Glittering, happy purple eyes. It made her so proud, seeing her sister's scales begin growing a lovely, glimmering blue hue. It was so exciting when she began to grow them as well.
She remembers a time where their scales would glow, and she would read to her sister, and her sister would sing, and they would play with their siblings and they would enjoy the cool, moonlit nights together. She was so, so happy, finding her brother's branches peeking past the bushes while playing hide and seek, and casting shadows on the wall to make crude shadow puppets together.
It was such a shame, as her sister's beautiful blue scales were glowing more, hers would appear and dim as quickly as they arrived. She never quite understood why. She would sit in freezing cold waters under the moon, staring up, despite everyone's behest, she would sit for hours on end.
The only person who would ever be able to shake her out of her moods was her sister, scales shining as brightly as the moon, who would wrap her wing around her and assure her that there must be something wrong, that she wasn't the problem, some sort of outside force must have been.
Her sister would sing to her, under the moonlight until the sadness creeping onto her heart ebbs off, and she would follow her sister back inside, sitting amongst her siblings around a warm fire.
All she could do, when she was awake, was cry. A bubbling, dark sadness that ebbed out of her entire body, black, disgusting goo that dribbled out of every pore in her body, an endless, disgusting entropy that made her feel like she was dying. She WAS dying, she had to be. She has very little knowledge of what was going on, outside of her little bubble of consciousness.
She was somewhere else, she knew she should be scared, but everyone was so, so kind, she could feel it. Warm, motherly singing coming from pink blurs that she couldn't fully see, warm, downy feathers tucked underneath her, soft garments placed and replaced over her body near daily. Gentle voices soothing and ebbing the pain away, plentiful spells, but nothing that removed the full body sense of pain, not really.
It was only when she was asleep, fully deprived of consciousness when she finally felt nothing. And she felt everything. She felt an anger of looking down on a world that belonged to them. She felt pride on the minute places they could. When she was too scared about these thoughts, she looked into the sky, she sees the moon, and she thinks of her sister. And she is happy. And she looks down at the world, and she thinks about how long they have lived, and she thinks about eternity, and she looks at the moon, and she thinks of her sister, and she is happy. And they look at Sornieth, and they feel an anger of a millennia, and she can't comprehend this. Eternity. It's a concept that brings an icy feeling to her stomach, but she can't stop thinking. And she can't think. And she looks at the moon, and she thinks of her family on Sornieth, and she's so, so happy.
