Skaidre was never a benevolent goddess. The Flamecaller’s minor gods did not really seem to be controlled, so often they’d create nightmarish catastrophes simply to watch the pain and suffering. Skaidre quickly caught on, and she did not feel guilty. The other gods sometimes expressed guilt, at all of the pain they caused. Skaidre did not, and no one cared; not until Skaidre accidentally injured a fellow minor god. This severely angered the Flamecaller, and even more so that Skaidre did not show any remorse. It was clear that Skaidre could no longer hold the status of god. As a precaution, Skaidre’s powers were stripped and she was cast away as a mere mortal dragon.

This injured her ego. Not that it was frail; she was simply furious that she’d gotten caught, not that she’d killed a god, supposedly the closest she’d have to a sibling. She wanted to plot revenge, but how could this ever happen, with the Flamecaller angered? And so Skaidre wandered the Viridian Labyrinth, tricking other mortals and stealing their goods. The charming goddess in the form of a mere Skydancer had likely stolen some hearts as well, but she did not care. She discovered that she still liked to watch the suffering of dragons, and so slowly became more deranged. That is, until she met another collection of gods cast away by their deities. Some for righteous reasons, like Skaidre. And others were cast away wrongly. Skaidre was the one who saw an opportunity to take advantage of this situation. And with a silver tongue, she proposed that the loose group of gods fight a deity.
