"Let the dead rest. Otherwise they will bring sorrow to life itself." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Kuno is probably the weirdest dragon in all House of Shadows. And that says a lot of other Shadow members and how their mental health is quite twisted; Kuno is the most normal dragon, in fact. She usually works by her own, mixing with the shadows and travelling to tainted areas where fallen dragons didn't receive any kind of blessing, burying them and let them rest for once and all. Most of her partners don't understand her and why she's around in House of Shadows when she's only trying to clean up Shevumee's experiments and reproaching him how "unnatural" is his magic, creating an unbalance between life and death. Seth, House of Shadows' leader, let her stay and really appreciates her labor. He enjoys listening to her when she's not wondering like a ghost in gloomy forests or bewitched lakes, which means that their encounters are a bit rare. The big red dragon knows that deep down in her heart, she really shares the desire of changing the actual structure of the Empire's society, where dragons can pursuit their dreams and follow the pace they need to achieve their goals, as well as spread a new perspective about mental health and abolish such perfeccionist ideology. Kuno barely speaks about «the revolution», only caring about balance in the nature and bring rest to the undead. If she would speak her mind out, she will admit that shares the common objective of House of Shadow, but some things are unforgivable. Things like bring back the dead and their pain; rebuild a new type of dragon (aberrations) taking and combining other dead corpses and, overall, taking advantage of the war just to increase the lust of sadism and pain, not caring about the suffering the soldiers and civils have to face, sowing only death while not respecting death itself. She somehow gets along very well with a particular aberration. An aberration born from another aberration. Inoshi has proved a higher intelligence compared to other aberrations, no matter if those dragons were rebuilt by Shevumee or born from another aberration. Kuno has seen that Inoshi pays attention to her words, to her teachings about nature; she's quite close to being a healthy dragon. Almost sane. Those hatchlings born from aberrations carry the same pain, the same trauma of their progenitors. Kuno once told Inoshi that it's not a "genetic disease"; it happens when the soul is forced to life again and don't bring relieve and peace to it. It happens when you don't respect death and, therefore, you don't respect life either; it's like a curse, a "karmic pain". It's quite a rare relationship, but both of them like the presence of each other. Sometimes they even look for the other —Inoshi is the one who look for Kuno— so they can find some peace in times of war. War is full of interests. And even when she pursuit a noble cause of a healthier society, she regrets to engage in the use of force, war the only method to achieve their goal. She thinks that serving to the death, respecting it and venerating life through it, she can put and end to some kind of suffering. Suffering. It is said that Kuno is the name the dead gave to her, meaning «agony». She embodies the agony of the already gone, the pain of the Earth soaked in blood. She wields her scythe to put an end to the undead, being merciless and yet kind when burying them to the eternal dream. She's recognizable from far away; a mourning song accompanies her everywhere she goes, echoing in the deepths of the forest. If she's not singing it, she's humming it at least. The song says: «Here's to you, Rest forever here in our hearts The last and final moment is yours That agony is your triumph» She usally rotates between the names of the dead. How is possible to know the name of a dead dragon? Well, that's pretty easy for her, since she speaks with the dead once the twilight approaches.
