SHOWDOWN The Returned Role: Ringmaster Mate: Tamera Pronouns: she/her Bio: Showdown wanted to show the world something amazing. Something that had never been seen before. As a child, she was sickly, sheltered--kept in the den and rarely allowed out to hunt or explore with the other dragons. So she spent her time inventing things in her mind. Amazing stories filled with all the excitement and color that her daily life lacked. As she grew, Showdown got stronger. She was able to do more, able to test her expanding limits. Her parents were so proud. They wanted her to stay around the clan and help grow vegetables. Showdown ran and never looked back. She explored, and along the way collected amazing, exceptional dragons and beastclan members who could help her fulfill her dreams of letting everyone get a taste of something outside their daily experience. No matter where she went, her Glittering Geode Circus sold out tickets to every single show. And Showdown knew how to draw in a crowd. Her voice, her energy--no one would ever guess that she spent her childhood weak, sick, and restricted to one single chamber in a cavern under the ground. But Showdown had a secret. She didn't tell anyone, not even Tamera, the prickly animal tamer who opened up to her and her alone. Showdown's secret was that she could feel herself weakening. The sickness that she'd overcome long ago was fighting to come back. Her limbs would get shaky, she'd get dizzy spells, and the bright lights of their big top tents sometimes gave her a headache. It was getting harder to hide it. When she nearly blacked out in front of the crowd, Showdown decided that she had to find a solution. She wasn't going to go back to being babied. So she left one night, trekking to find a new solution to her problem. And she found it! Well, she thinks she did, anyway. The truth is, Showdown doesn't remember what happened, exactly. But she's never felt stronger and better in her life! She's not sure why some of the other members of the troupe look at her strangely, now. Sure, she sleeps a little more deeply than before, and there's something different about her body. She can feel it pulsing through her. Some strange magic. But it's good! It's good. The weakness is gone! Whatever happened to get rid of it, it was totally worth it. There's rarely blood on her claws when she wakes up. |
